Haraka -- pronounced /hah ra kah/ and meaning "speed" or "quick" in Swahili -- is more than just a place to buy running shoes -- it's a celebration of Black excellence in motion. Located in Prince George's County, we're a premium athletic retail destination that understands and elevates the unique needs of our diverse running community. From the best jogging shoes for casual walkers and joggers to the best running shoes for marathon challengers, we provide expertly curated gear, personalized fitting services, and a vibrant community hub that centers the Black running experience. We're bridging the representation gap in specialty running retail while serving the sophisticated, health-conscious consumers of Prince George's County with technical expertise and cultural authenticity.

We love our community, so drop us a line as we prepare to open our first store in Prince George's County this summer! We also want our community to be healthy, so we're starting our Haraka Wednesday Weekly Walks on July 16 at 7 p.m. Join us as we walk down the Rhode Island Trolley Trail every week for fun, fitness and fellowship! And it's FREE. Bring a pair of good walking sneakers, and join us and your fellow Prince Georgians at 5501 Baltimore Ave. as we build something powerful! RSVP below!
