Hello, Prince George's County!
Join us on Wednesday July 16 as we launch our Wednesday Weekly Walks!
Here's how it works: Meet us at 5501 Baltimore Avenue in Hyattsville, right near Busboys and Poets. From there, we'll head out together to the beautiful Rhode Island Trolley Trail for our community walk.
It's the perfect blend of fun, fellowship, and fitness, and all paces are welcome! We'll have special giveaways, guest walkers, and a few surprises for attendees. See you Wednesdays!
At Haraka Run and Walk, we're building a premium athletic retail destination that gets it. Whether you're someone who jogs casually around the neighborhood or you're training for your next marathon, we're going to provide expertly curated gear and personalized fitting services that actually understand your needs.
We're not just selling products, we're building community. We believe that running and walking aren't just individual activities, they're ways to connect with your neighbors, strengthen your community, and create lasting relationships.
Haraka Run and Walk will open later this summer at 5501 Baltimore Avenue #106, right across the street from Busboys and Poets. We’re more than just a retail destination. Haraka is a home base for runners, walkers, and wellness seekers. Our space was built with intention: to create an inclusive hub where individuals of all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and empowered. We proudly serve seasoned athletes, weekend warriors, high school track stars, and those referred by podiatrists alike with personalized support and expert gear guidance at every step. Through curated gear, thoughtful design, and a welcoming atmosphere, we help our community move faster forward with confidence, clarity, and care.
At Haraka, we are committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring that every customer leaves our store satisfied.
We also believe in giving back to our community and supporting local organizations that make a difference. We see our job to be to pioneer a movement where every Prince George's County resident has accessible pathways to wellness through walking and running, creating lasting health equity and community connections that span generations. Our mission is to transform Prince George's County's health and wellness landscape through three core pillars:
